Instead of using your power button, you simply shut down your system by selecting shut down from the start menu (which this program adds). Then the program goes into action to keep your charge.
What causes battery discharge?
It's somewhat like a screen saver, something that every Pocket PC needs. Every night at 12:00am, your Pocket PC powers up to perform a number of tasks (i.e. perform calander and alarms tasks for the next day). However, depending on what software you were last using, software you have installed, or configurations of your system, your Pocket PC may not shut off. This results in a total discharge by the time you wake up. The most abudent problem comes from Windows Media Player. If this program is running when your system turns on, then it won't turn off.
Another cause of battery discharge is caused by accidentially hitting any button on the Pocket PC unit. This causes the Pocket PC to turn on and it may never turn off (or if it does then it would take a long time).
The application is very simple. If your Pocket PC is started up by accident, then the unit will turn off when it detects inactive use (in 30 seconds). This prohibits applications such as Windows Media Player from keeping your Pocket PC on.
You will never have to worry about your Pocket PC ever losing its charge due to accidental inactive use.
